About the role

Citizens Private Bank is accelerating its strategy to build banking and wealth management services for high-net-worth individuals and families, scale banking capabilities for businesses, grow deposits, and expand in key growth markets. As a Private Banker Associate, you will assist the Private Banking team and Relationship Managers in developing and maintaining client relationships using the full range of Citizens deposit products and services. This role involves supporting Private Bankers with documentation, client follow-up, compliance, and administrative duties while delivering exceptional client service.

Responsibilities

  • Provide ongoing exceptional client service for clients’ day-to-day needs via email, phone, or in person.
  • Support the Private Banking team and provide backup in the Private Bankers’ absence.
  • Assist with obtaining and organizing all required documentation for account openings and ongoing maintenance processes.
  • Partner with Private Banker to maintain client relationships and open new accounts.
  • Participate in business development calls with Business Bankers, Relationship Managers, and/or Private Bankers.
  • Acquire knowledge of existing Bank products, with a focus on deposit products and a smaller focus on Trust, Wealth Management, and Loan products.
  • Stay up-to-date with new Bank product offerings and services.
  • Maintain marketing and brochure supplies for Private Bankers.
  • Adhere to applicable federal and state laws, regulations, and guidance, including those related to anti-money laundering (e.g., Bank Secrecy Act, US PATRIOT Act).
  • Identify and report suspicious activity to the Anti-Money Laundering Officer.
  • Stay vigilant for fraud tactics, watch for red flags, and escalate concerns to fraud partners.

Qualifications

  • One to two years of experience in a professional services role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills, with the ability to multitask.
  • A commitment to being a collaborative team player.
  • Knowledge of banking operations, particularly in Private Banking.
  • Ability to review and analyze data reports and client-facing documentation; proficient with computers.
  • Effective communication skills via telephone and in person.
  • Ability to travel as required by the position.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $39 - $49 per hour, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on factors including work location and relevant skills and experience.

Schedule

Hours per Week: 40. Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, as needed.
