Responsibilities
- Design and implement global privacy and data protection compliance programs
- Oversee AI governance and compliance, including policies and risk assessments
- Draft and manage privacy policies and contractual terms related to data protection
- Collaborate with teams to support security initiatives and frameworks
- Monitor regulatory and industry developments regarding privacy and AI laws
- Guide product and engineering on legal aspects of product design and operations
- Create legal documentation to support new products or initiatives
Qualifications
- J.D. (or LL.M. plus foreign degree) and member of a U.S. state Bar in good standing
- 5+ years of privacy and product legal experience, especially advising software companies
- Strong knowledge of privacy laws, including CCPA, CPRA, and GDPR
- CIPP certification preferred
- Experience with AI governance and privacy implications of AI systems required
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex legal concepts simply
- Team player with strong business acumen and detail-oriented mindset
