Job#: 3047936 Job Description: Apex Systems is hiring a Privacy Analyst for a large Healthcare client. Location: Fully remote anywhere in the US. *YOU MUST BE AUTHORIZED TO WORK IN THE UNITED STATES WITHOUT SPONSORSHIP* Role Overview This position supports the development and coordination of Privacy compliance programs through independent activities and incident analysis. The role involves performing risk assessments, overseeing the privacy program, and ensuring adherence to company policies and practices. This temporary position is driven by an increased need to support audit and quality assurance activities related to privacy incidents, allowing the existing team to focus on active investigations and regulatory responses. Key Responsibilities Manage, assess, and investigate cases from the Privacy Incident mailbox, conferring with HR and business owners.Perform analysis and risk assessment of privacy incidents to determine their severity.Oversee the privacy walkthrough process, documenting findings and coaching associates on privacy topics.Manage internal access control reviews for associates with access to high-risk data.Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of privacy-related policies, procedures, and training programs.Serve as a liaison for communicating privacy requirements to associates.Participate in all phases of project planning, coordination, implementation, and monitoring.Create and maintain project-related materials, including memos, training materials, and presentations. Required Qualifications Education: A High School diploma or GED is required. Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience in Managed Care/Health Insurance or managing projects in a fast-paced environment. Experience must include reviewing, auditing, or investigating compliance, privacy, or security incidents and working with regulated data (e.g., HIPAA, PHI, PII). Candidates must have experience validating documentation and supporting compliance-related audits. Skills: Ability to determine reporting obligations and validate compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.Experience reviewing evidence, supporting documentation, and proof of regulatory submissions with attention to detail.Ability to analyze incident data, identify gaps, reconcile records, and generate reports.Strong written communication skills for documenting findings and corrective actions. Preferred Qualifications A Bachelor's Degree in a related field.Knowledge of Medicare and Medicaid programs.
