Privacy Analyst

About the role

This position supports the development and coordination of Privacy compliance programs through independent activities and incident analysis. The role involves performing risk assessments, overseeing the privacy program, and ensuring adherence to company policies and practices.

Responsibilities

• Manage, assess, and investigate cases from the Privacy Incident mailbox, conferring with HR and business owners.
• Perform analysis and risk assessment of privacy incidents to determine their severity.
• Oversee the privacy walkthrough process, documenting findings and coaching associates on privacy topics.
• Manage internal access control reviews for associates with access to high-risk data.
• Serve as a liaison for communicating privacy requirements to associates.
• Participate in all phases of project planning, coordination, implementation, and monitoring.
• Create and maintain project-related materials, including memos, training materials, and presentations.

Requirements

• A High School diploma or GED is required.
• A minimum of 3 years of experience in Managed Care/Health Insurance or managing projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience must include reviewing, auditing, or investigating compliance, privacy, or security incidents and working with regulated data (e.g., HIPAA, PHI, PII).
• Candidates must have experience validating documentation and supporting compliance-related audits.

Skills

• Ability to determine reporting obligations and validate compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.
• Experience reviewing evidence, supporting documentation, and proof of regulatory submissions with attention to detail.
• Ability to analyze incident data, identify gaps, reconcile records, and generate reports.
• Strong written communication skills for documenting findings and corrective actions.
