Prisma Health Heart & Vascular Institute – Cardiac Electrophysiology Opportunity

Prisma Health is seeking a Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiologist to join our team in Columbia, SC.

About the role

The Prisma Health Heart & Vascular Institute (HVI) is a collaborative team dedicated to clinical excellence, research, and education. As the largest Cardiovascular program in South Carolina, HVI features over 230 providers and offers comprehensive, cutting-edge services for cardiothoracic, vascular, and cardiac care.

This role is supported by an EP-dedicated team that includes 5 MDs, 5 Nurse Practitioners, and a large EP device clinic. The position offers structured academic time for teaching (if desired), research, and program development, with faculty rank at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine. The opportunity includes contributing to the continued growth of the electrophysiology service line within a 100% dedicated EP practice with EP practice call only.

Responsibilities

• Perform permanent pacemaker implants (including leadless)
• Conduct pacemaker lead extractions (desirable but not necessary)
• Implant ICD & CRT-D devices
• Perform comprehensive ablation procedures: Atrial Fibrillation, Atrial Flutter, SVT, VT (endo and epi)
• Collaborate on convergent procedures with cardiovascular surgeons
• Perform LAAC closure procedures

• Largest Cardiology group in South Carolina, delivering care in the only dedicated stand-alone Heart Hospital in the state
