Prior Authorization Referral Specialist

Our Houma clinic is looking to hire a Prior Authorization Referral Specialist. This person will be responsible for conducting prior authorizations and referrals from our Nurse Practitioners.

• Conducts prior authorizations and referrals from Nurse Practitioners

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing field (preferred)

Responsibilities:

• Maintains professional boundaries
• Demonstrates advanced knowledge of primary and behavioral health diagnoses and medications
• Works closely with providers to assist in conducting prior authorizations for psychiatric medications on a daily basis
• Affirm referrals are processed and followed through
