The Press Operator is an essential member of the team, responsible for the manufacturing of printed labels while continuously monitoring label quality and press conditions.

- $22-$32/hr depending on experience + $2,500 Sign-On Bonus + $0.50/hour shift differential

Responsibilities
- Adhere to all plant and corporate safety rules, procedures, and guidelines; report safety concerns or issues to supervisor
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by completing daily housekeeping assignments
- Complete make-ready in accordance with Job Ticket and Product Specification documents to ensure correct print cylinders, inks, substrates, tooling, and anilox rollers are used
- Complete all required quality checks related to product specifications, visual, and functional checks
- Complete all press-side quality checks
- Operate press to produce product in accordance with customer specifications while maintaining quality, waste, and press efficiency
- Maintain consistent quality during the production run; critical quality checks include copy, color, registration, and ink adhesion; ensure conformance to all other quality checks
- Complete all related procedures, work instructions, and quality measurements as outlined in the BRC standard
- Complete press make-ready's in an efficient manner
- Complete all required equipment maintenance duties; clean plate, cylinder, and ink pans, and lubricate press as needed
- Input all required information into the Radius system for material usage and time in an accurate and prompt manner
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- 1+ years as a printing press operator experience and/or training
- Physical demands: standing, using hands to feel and touch; reaching with arms and hands; talking and hearing; frequent walking; occasionally climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling
- Must be able to regularly lift or move up to 50 pounds
- Specific vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
