About the role
We are seeking an experienced, results-oriented strategy practitioner to join HP’s Print Strategy & Planning team, reporting to the Senior Director and Head of Print Strategy as part of the newly created HP Global Strategy function.
Responsibilities
- Analyze market research on latest industry trends, competitive landscape and product innovations.
- Develop recommendations on go-forward 1-5 year strategy on where to play and how to win.
- Develops some short-term plans and levers to optimize business and financial performance, facilitates regular follow-ups on strategic planning to foster collaboration and ensure accountability.
- Structure analytical approaches and develops project guidelines, objectives, strategies deliverables, and tactics to drive successful outcomes.
- Manages large, cross-functional teams and communications to facilitate projects and ensure timely delivery to internal stakeholders.
- Consults with business executives on a wide range of issues related to the strategy formulation process, including risk management and new growth opportunities.
- Provides thought leadership and contributes to expanding the knowledge base within area of expertise which includes developing new methods, techniques and criteria for developing strategy analysis and recommendations.
- Collaborates across businesses, functions, and regions to align strategy and direction with corporate and divisional/business units.
Requirements
- Recommended Four-year or Graduate Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
- Has at least 8-10+ years of work experience, preferably 3-4+ in management consulting, corporate strategy, strategic planning, or a related field.
- Top-tier consulting experience highly desirable.

- Developed business acumen and technical knowledge within at least two business units.

- Able to learn and draw on new analytical techniques to develop creative approaches to project objectives.
- Oversees significant research and analysis efforts.
- Identifies leading-edge analytical tools and techniques to evaluate strategic objectives and gain new insights to business issues.
- Able to conduct an impact analysis capturing all the likely consequences of a decision.
Qualifications
Education & Experience:
- Four-year or Graduate Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
- At least 8-10+ years of work experience, preferably 3-4+ in management consulting, corporate strategy, strategic planning, or a related field.
- Top-tier consulting experience highly desirable.
Pay
The base pay range for this role is USD $176,900 - $230,850 annually with additional opportunities for pay in the form of bonus and/or equity (applies to US candidates only).
