Print Operator

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Print Operator to join our manufacturing team. This position is responsible for the operation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of EFI large-format printing equipment while ensuring exceptional print quality, production efficiency, and maximum equipment uptime.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Operate EFI large-format printing equipment safely and efficiently to meet production schedules and quality standards.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance, cleaning, inspections, and calibration of printing equipment.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, electrical, and print-quality issues.
• Diagnose equipment malfunctions and perform repairs to minimize downtime and maintain production flow.
• Maintain accurate production records and promptly communicate equipment concerns or operational issues.
• Collaborate with Graphics, Production, and Shipping teams to ensure customer deadlines and production requirements are met.
• Maintain work areas clean, organized, and compliant with workplace safety standards.
• Recommend process improvements to enhance equipment reliability, efficiency, and print quality.
• Follow all established safety policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two (2) years of experience operating large-format digital printing equipment.
• Experience operating EFI VUTEk printers strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair large-format printing equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to identify and resolve equipment-related issues.
• Knowledge of color management systems, media handling, and print production processes.
• Ability to interpret work orders and effectively prioritize multiple production tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while contributing positively to a team environment.
• Dependable, punctual, and safety-conscious work ethic.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills are a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Frequently lift, carry, and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Stand, walk, bend, reach, and perform repetitive motions throughout the workday.
• Safely handle large rolls of media and finished products.
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with moving machinery and production equipment.
