About the role

The Print Concept Design Associate supports the Print Concept Department Head in creating, developing, and communicating seasonal print concepts across Men’s and Children’s brands, including Purple Label, World of Sports, Polo Men’s, and related seasonal initiatives. This role focuses on visual storytelling, brand sensibility, creative research, artwork development, and strong organizational follow-through.

Responsibilities

  • Support the Print Concept Department Head in the development of seasonal print concepts, artwork direction, and presentation materials across brands.
  • Contribute to seasonal research and visual storytelling by gathering inspiration from vintage documents, internal archives, artwork references, market research, brand heritage, and other deep research.
  • Aid in the creation and development of original print artwork, exploring motifs, layouts, scales, colors, placements, and overall seasonal relevance.
  • Prepare artwork and presentation materials for creative reviews, including image cleanup, recoloring, artwork refinement, physical board creation, product mockups, pitch sheets, and digital presentation support.
  • Interpret vintage, antique, and historical references into original Ralph Lauren sensible print concepts while maintaining design integrity and proper provenance documentation for review with our Cultural and Legal partners.
  • Support clear communication of seasonal print direction across Concept, Production Art, Product Design, Merchandising, and external partners from early development through handoff.
  • Participate in print handoff meetings and help ensure artwork intent, scale, color, layout, and concept context are clearly understood by cross-functional teams.
  • Maintain organized physical and digital assets, including seasonal artwork, research materials, presentation boards & documentations, vintage purchases, and print archive resources.
  • Track project needs, document meeting notes with senior leadership, artwork updates, follow-ups, and deadlines to maintain accuracy and momentum throughout the seasonal process.
  • Partner with internal teams and external studios or mills as needed to support artwork development, project briefs, follow-up, and asset sharing.

Requirements

  • Demonstrate initiative, flexibility, and strong follow-through in a fast-paced creative environment, while contributing positively to team culture and collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Art, Fashion Design, Illustration, Graphic Design, Textile Design, or a related creative field preferred.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Photoshop and Illustrator, on Mac platform.
  • Familiarity with additional creative tools, AI-assisted workflows, or digital design platforms is a plus.
  • Hand drawing, painting, illustration, or traditional art skills preferred, with the ability to translate creative ideas into digital and presentation-ready formats.
  • Strong visual sensibility with an interest in print, pattern, color, artwork, vintage, history, and brand storytelling.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects, shifting priorities, and tight deadlines with accuracy and follow-through.
  • Motivated self-starter with a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and desire to learn.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to clearly share ideas, updates, and project needs.
  • Collaborative team player who works well across departments and contributes to a respectful, productive, and creative team environment.
  • Resourceful problem-solver who takes initiative, adapts quickly, and remains engaged in a fast-paced creative environment.
  • Ability to receive direction and feedback thoughtfully while continuing to build independent judgment and creative confidence.
  • Passion for the Ralph Lauren brand, its heritage, and the role of print as a key expression of seasonal storytelling.
