About the Role

The Land & Air Defense Systems Strategic Business Unit Team has a great opportunity for an experienced Procurement Professional Specialist in a highly collaborative role. You will lead sourcing and acquisition of materials and services, manage supplier performance, and oversee the entire purchase order life cycle—including supplier development, requirement solicitations, Purchase Order award, post-award management, and closeout activities—for DoD, FMS, and DCS customers. You will manage several supplier relationships to support various programs for factory material needs.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and issue RFPs.
  • Place purchase orders of low/medium complexity in accordance with all regulatory (FAR/DFAR) and corporate compliance requirements for various complex subcontract types (Cost Type, Incentive Type, Firm Fixed, etc.).
  • Support negotiation strategies and formal negotiations (Price, Delivery, scope, Terms & Conditions).
  • Perform price and cost analysis techniques in support of proposals.
  • Nurture professional business relationships with first-tier subcontractors.
  • Work closely with Program and other functional groups (Operations, Quality, Engineering, Program Management, etc.) to achieve objectives.
  • Maintain POs to ensure accurate and timely supplier delivery information.

Requirements

  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
  • Relevant experience in procurement, supply chain management, management, finance, or a similar role.
  • U.S. Person status (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee) or eligibility to obtain necessary export authorizations (22 CFR 120.62).

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP/PRISM-based environment experience.
  • Experience with technical requirements of procured hardware and services, including Statement of Work (SOW) review.
  • Knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR/DFARS).
  • Experience with written contractual authorization/vehicles (Cost Plus, Firm Fixed Price, etc.).

Pay

The salary range for this role is $86,800 – $165,200 USD. The range is a good-faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including role, function, responsibilities, work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
