Job Summary

The Customer Value, Insights, & Industries team at Cognite is seeking an Industry Transformation Principal to accelerate growth within the industrial and manufacturing sectors. This role is part of Cognite's mission to unlock $100B in customer value by 2035 through the delivery of transformative solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with sales teams to close large, strategic, multi-year deals by helping executive customers discover, map, and realize the tangible value of Cognite solutions at scale.

  • Translate complex data and industrial workflows into compelling, differentiated narrative-driven presentations for C-suite and market stakeholders.

  • Lead value workshops to identify high-impact use cases, map potential ROI, and deliver clear value roadmaps to customers.

  • Partner with the field sales organization as an industry expert to drive larger, faster deal closures and meaningful ARR growth.

  • Work with existing customers to track and measure realized value, ensuring high retention and identifying expansion opportunities.

  • Build and maintain trusted, advisor-level relationships with client executives.

  • Champion Cognite's Moonshot across the company, empowering internal teams to speak consistently about industry outcomes.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience within the industrial space, with a deep understanding of industrial or manufacturing operations and the ability to translate that knowledge across adjacent industrial sectors.

  • Exceptional storytelling, research, and analytical skills, with the gravitas required to influence C-suite stakeholders.

  • A strong understanding of the enterprise B2B customer journey and a track record of supporting strategic, fast-paced sales cycles.

  • Proven ability to navigate ambiguous projects and work cross-functionally across an ecosystem to achieve shared goals.
