Key job responsibilities
- Cross-org execution. Drive cross-organizational execution across Tablet OS/SW, Alexa App, Alexa domain teams (Voice, Visual, Smart Home, Entertainment, etc.), and Hardware teams to deliver integrated experiences on new tablet devices
- Problem decomposition. Decompose complex, ambiguous problems into clear workstreams, milestones, and deliverables — minimizing redundant engineering effort across teams
- Architecture & integration. Partner with engineering leaders to define system boundaries, APIs, and integration patterns between tablet platform and Alexa services
- Org & architecture evolution. Drive organizational and architectural changes that enable teams to work independently while delivering cohesive customer experiences
- Program mechanisms. Create and optimize mechanisms for cross-team coordination, dependency management, and long-term program health across the tablet-Alexa ecosystem
- Executive communication. Represent complex technical decisions and trade-offs clearly to leadership (VP+), building consensus across organizations with competing priorities
- Risk identification & mitigation. Recognize failure patterns, steer teams away from prior pitfalls, and proactively resolve cross-team blockers
- Resource & investment influence. Make the case for technology investments, secure commitments from partner teams, and ensure appropriate staffing for critical workstreams
- Organizational amplification. Mentor TPMs across the organization, contribute to TPM community best practices, and raise the bar on program management excellence
- 10+ years of engineering experience
- 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 5+ years of software development experience
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience

Pay
The base salary range for this position is $177,000.00 - $239,400.00 USD annually.
