About the role
Amazon Ads is reinventing how advertisers plan media through AI-powered conversational experiences. This Principal Technical Project Manager will lead the development and delivery of planning capabilities within Ads Agent—a conversational platform that helps media planners build and optimize strategies through natural dialogue, shortening complex workflows.
Responsibilities
- Own end-to-end project delivery for media planning skills including Reach Estimation, Audience Discovery, Budget Allocation, and Plan Creation, ensuring each new capability is developed and launched as a skill
- Drive skill development lifecycle from initial beta phases through general availability, managing success criteria and readiness at each stage
- Improve response quality and accuracy by establishing evaluation frameworks, analyzing conversation logs, and collaborating with teams to reduce error rates through continuous model refinement
- Define and monitor skill-level success metrics such as task completion rates, response accuracy, and user engagement to track performance and guide optimization efforts
- Cross-coordinate cross-functional efforts including user acceptance testing, beta account onboarding, and go-to-market readiness across all stakeholders and teams
Qualifications
- 10+ years of technical product or program management experience
- 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
- 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience
- Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
- Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience working with Data & AI related technologies, including, but not limited to, AI/ML, GenAI, Analytics, Database, and/or Storage
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields
- Experience in verbal and written communication for executive level leaders
- Track record delivering large-scale, cross-functional projects with measurable business impact
