Principal, Technical Program Mgr., Brand Measurement, Measurement, Ad Tech, and Data Science (MADS)

Key job responsibilities

• Own the planning, execution, and delivery of large-scale technical programs that span multiple engineering teams, product organizations, and business stakeholders.
• Work at the intersection of advertising technology, machine learning, and distributed systems to solve ambiguous problems that shape the future of digital advertising.
• Drive technical strategy and roadmap alignment across engineering, product, science, and business teams.
• Lead cross-functional teams through complex technical challenges in areas such as ad serving, campaign management, measurement, and optimization.
• Establish program governance, metrics, and reporting mechanisms to ensure visibility and accountability at the VP level.
• Identify and mitigate technical and operational risks across large-scale distributed systems serving billions of ad requests daily.
• Partner with engineering leaders to influence architecture decisions and ensure scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Build and maintain relationships with senior stakeholders across Amazon Ads, AWS, and Retail organizations.
• Drive operational excellence through process improvements, automation, and best practices.
• Mentor and develop other TPMs across the organization.
• Represent Amazon Ads technical programs in executive-level reviews and planning sessions.

Basic Qualifications

• 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience.
• 7+ years of technical product or program management experience.
• 5+ years of software development experience.
• Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems.
• Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.
• Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition.

Preferred Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience.
• Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules.

New York, NY - Base Salary Range: $194,700.00 - $263,400.00 USD annually
