Principal Technical Marketing Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a Principal Technical Marketing Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will drive highly technical customer-facing validation efforts and help translate complex networking solutions into clear, field-ready messaging. The position blends hands-on lab work, architectural problem solving, and close partnership with engineering, sales, and field teams to support customer evaluations and adoption. You will also create technical content and deliver training that helps internal and external stakeholders understand and deploy the company’s solutions effectively. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $196,000 – $245,000 annually Responsibilities Own hands-on technical Proof of Value (POV) engagements and architectural demos to validate solutions for customers Design, deploy, and manage multi-vendor physical and virtual networking labs Serve as the primary technical troubleshooting link between field teams and engineering Create production-ready technical collateral, such as deployment runbooks and competitive test plans Conduct impactful training sessions and webinars for field teams and partners Qualifications 10+ years of technical marketing, product management, or solutions architecture experience Proven ability to design and maintain complex networking lab topologies Expertise in packet analysis and troubleshooting with tools like Wireshark and tcpdump Curiosity and experience with AI tools to enhance workflows and problem-solving Proven track record leading customer POV pilots and architectural evaluations Benefits Various health plans Time off for vacation and sick leave Parental leave options Retirement savings plans Education reimbursement In-office perks Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
