About the role

Amazon Publisher Services (APS) helps publishers of all sizes and on all channels better monetize their content through effective advertising. APS unites publishers with advertisers across devices and media channels. The APS Publisher Products Engineering team is responsible for building cloud-based advertising technology services that help Web, Mobile, Streaming TV broadcasters and Audio publishers grow their business. Amazon Publisher Cloud (APC) is redefining how publishers and advertisers collaborate on data-driven advertising. The engineering team focuses on unlocking our ad tech on the most impactful Desktop, mobile and Connected TV devices in the home, bringing real-time capabilities to this medium for the first time.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the development timelines across several large engineering organizations to deliver on strict timelines
  • Work with cross functional product leaders to drive execution of an ambitious product roadmap
  • Be the voice of the team across multiple layers of the organization and drive multi-year planning activities
  • Act as mentor and role model for other members of the team
  • Drive the strategy for critical program support initiatives, ensuring stakeholders, engineering teams, and customers are building trustworthy solutions for business-critical decision-making
  • Work closely with SDEs, FEEs, Data Engineers, BI Engineers, Data/Applied Science, and partnering with cross-functional product teams to deliver high-quality, scalable data products
  • Partner with business counterparts like BDs, AMs, SAs and other roles to help drive the customer facing advertising initiatives
  • Assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, make tradeoffs, balance business needs versus technical constraints, and encourage risk-taking behavior to maximize business benefit

Basic qualifications

  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
  • 7+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 5+ years of software development experience
  • Experience designing or architecting (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

Preferred qualifications

  • 8+ years of hands-on work managing complex technology projects experience
  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules

Pay & benefits

Base salary range: $203,500.00 - $275,300.00 USD annually (USA, CA, Palo Alto). Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
