Within the Chick-fil-A Supply Chain Data Services (SCDS) function, the Data Enablement Team Leader designs data products and processes to make SCDS data clear, governed, and easy to use. This role balances deep business acumen with data enablement expertise, translating operational business requirements into governed data products. The Team Leader partners with Data Engineering and Data Operations, owning the Design layer of the SCDS operating model. Familiarity with MDM tooling (Stibo/STEP), modern data governance practices, and platforms like Databricks is helpful, with SQL or Python as a plus.

  • Inspire and Engage the Team: Lead, develop, and engage the team to bring the Corporate Purpose and Core Values to life, fostering a culture of growth and contribution.
  • Set Goals and Drive Performance: Establish performance goals that grow Staff contribution while holding the team accountable for individual and team objectives.
  • Coach and Develop Staff: Empower and develop Staff through delegation, performance conversations, and actionable career guidance.
  • Prioritize Work and Remove Obstacles: Partner with the team to prioritize work, allocate resources, and remove obstacles.
  • Provide Feedback and Recognition, and Develop Self: Offer regular encouragement, recognition, and constructive feedback to foster engagement.

Leading Work

  • Lead the Data Enablement team, uniting MDM and process engineering to source and architect data solutions as needed by the business.
  • Establish and steward a trusted single source of truth for master data across SCDS.
  • Align data models with business operations, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
  • Own the intake process for new data products and changes, reducing ambiguity across teams.
  • Partner with Data Engineering to shape what gets built through clear specifications, definitions, and prioritization.
  • Collaborate with Data Operations to ensure products are handed off with standards, documentation, and SLAs for smooth operation.
  • Prevent downstream defects through governance-by-design, identifying data quality and process risks early.
  • Manage the Stibo (STEP) lifecycle, ensuring data remains healthy through creation, change, and retirement.
  • Serve as the point of escalation for governance, data quality, and process-alignment issues.
  • Translate complex information into actionable plans for partners and executives.
  • Communicate critical data and governance issues to stakeholders and leadership.
  • Identify opportunities to improve enablement, governance, and processes across the SCDS ecosystem.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Information Management Systems, Engineering, Statistics, Analytics, or a related field.
  • 5+ years in data governance, master data management, business process engineering, or in-depth data lifecycle management in an operational business setting.
  • Experience setting data policies, procedures, and standards.
  • Experience partnering with engineering and operations teams to bring data products from concept to production.
  • Experience driving cross-functional projects to completion with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience enabling data and process for an operational business unit, preferably in supply chain.
  • Master's Degree in Information Management Systems, Engineering, Statistics, Analytics, or a related field.
  • 7+ years in data governance, master data management, or data enablement.
  • Experience leading a team with minimal supervision.
  • Experience translating business processes into governed data products.
  • Experience with Agile ways of working.
  • Understanding of Supply Chain or Logistics Management.
  • Comfortable using MDM platforms, e.g., Stibo (STEP).
  • Programming skills in data modeling languages (SQL, Python, R, or similar).
  • Comfortable with Alteryx and Databricks.

Travel Requirements: 20%
