About the role
We are seeking a Principal to join our Tax Investor Coverage team, reporting to our Head of Tax Investor Coverage, to rapidly scale the network of buyers, and execute more transactions.
Responsibilities
- Build your own book of business; nurture and grow buyers through the entire customer lifecycle in order to achieve scale of buyer tax credit appetite and reach targeted outcomes.
- Generate new buyer leads through conferences, networking, outreach, and other creative methods.
- Establish credibility, cultivate, and expand partnerships with key senior leaders at corporate buyers, family offices, accounting and tax firms, and banks.
- Educate buyers on the critical role of the Crux platform in tax credit transactions and demonstrate how to utilize Crux to achieve more effective and efficient outcomes.
- Serve as a facilitative partner and resource to buyers throughout the transaction lifecycle, including developing custom strategies to best meet buyer’s needs.
- Serve as an expert resource to buyers on all aspects of tax credit transactions, as well as leverage internal and external subject matter experts.
- Operate with autonomy, quickly surface issues, research and propose solutions.
- Maintain your customer data in product and other internal tools.
- Inform product development with user insights and subject matter expertise.
- Discuss complicated topics with clarity and accuracy.
- Strong collaborative and team orientation; meaningfully contribute to key growth initiatives.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience
- Selling tax-related financial products to corporates and family offices; or Advising on tax credit accounting methods and transactions; or Having played a leading role in structured origination and/or distribution of financial products, especially tax credits or tax equity
- 3 + years of renewable tax credit experience
- Comfortable and confident with cold outreach, conference participation and public speaking
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Unrivaled relationship building skills; you build trust quickly and communicate clearly
- Adaptable and excited about building at the early stage. You’re not afraid to roll-up your sleeves and build things yourself
- Willing to travel, 25%

Skills
- FINRA SIE, Series 79 and 63 required or willingness to obtain under Crux’s broker-dealer sponsorship

- Compensation: Total cash compensation: $300,000s-$500,000s, depending on years of exp. & revenue scope, not inclusive of equity value.
