Principal Systems Engineer (Mission Management)
About the role
The Principal Systems Engineer (Mission Management) position at Themis Insight supports a cryptologic dissemination customer in modernizing the process for auto-dissemination proposals. The role involves understanding and learning data flows, transforming, checking, and manipulating data to ensure compliance with policies, oversight, and security requirements. Key responsibilities include compiling and reviewing dissemination obligations, helping define efficient processes for requestors, and creating artifacts to support both requestors and adjudicators.
Responsibilities
- Understand and learn data flows between systems
- Learn how data is transformed, checked, and manipulated
- Support the client in defining processes for requestors
- Create artifacts to assist requestors and adjudicators
- Compile and review dissemination obligations
- Help define processes for requestors

Requirements
- TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related field with at least 20 years of systems engineering experience
- Familiarity with intelligence community law and policy
- Process engineering and/or Lean Six Sigma experience
- Systems engineering or development experience
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, or related field
- At least 20 years of systems engineering experience
- Master’s degree or PhD may substitute for two years of experience
- High School Diploma or GED with 24 years of systems engineering experience
Skills
- Familiarity with U.S. or international privacy and civil liberties law and policy
- Legal training or expertise, either as a lawyer or in the legal profession
- Familiarity with the Cryptologic Dissemination Review Committee (CDRC)
- Operational SIGINT experience (CNO, NCSC, and Analytics)
- Experience as a SIGINT analyst/reporter/auditor
- Jira familiarity
- Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and within a team setting
- Flexible and adaptable within a dynamic work environment
- Comfortable guiding people without having influence over them

Pay
Salary range is $150,000 - $200,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
