As a Principal Systems Engineer in the Space Systems Product Line, you will work within a multi-disciplinary team to create engineering solutions for an EO/IR system for airborne platforms. You will support the entire systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements, architecture, design, modeling, trade studies, and integration and test. This role involves collaborating with talented engineers to develop technical solutions that support the warfighter and key customer milestones.

This position is based in our Hudson, NH or Merrimack, NH facilities and may require collaboration with teams across our Northeast locations. The role is full-time on-site due to the need for consistent, in-person collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Support the full systems engineering lifecycle, including requirements development, architecture, design, modeling, trade studies, and integration and test for EO/IR systems.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional, multi-disciplinary teams to develop technical solutions for airborne platforms.
  • Participate in key customer milestones and contribute to the development of actionable intelligence solutions.
  • Apply analytical and critical thinking to solve complex problems and drive continuous improvement.
  • Prioritize tasks, manage time constraints, and demonstrate product ownership.
  • Communicate effectively, both written and verbally, within project teams and with stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Must currently possess a Secret clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical area (Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, Math).
  • Prior experience working across the systems engineering lifecycle and processes.
  • Strong experience with mathematical modeling tools/languages such as MATLAB or Python.
  • Familiarity with Free-Space Optical systems, Control Systems, EO/IR pointer/tracker systems, and algorithm design.
  • Ability to prioritize work, multi-task, and adapt to time constraints.
  • Drive for continuous improvement and product ownership.
  • Analytical, critical thinking, and creative problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary project team.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Top Secret clearance.
  • Prior experience with Control Systems, EO/IR pointer/tracker systems, and algorithm design.
  • Knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).
  • Familiarity with modeling tools such as MagicDraw.
  • Master’s degree in Systems Engineering.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and tools.

Pay

Full-Time Salary Range: $109,120 - $185,460. Individual salaries are determined by factors including business considerations, local market conditions, internal equity, and candidate qualifications such as skills, education, and experience.
