About the role

The Principal Systems Engineer will support the System Test Team (STT) in Roy, UT, focusing on tasks related to requirements identification, review, allocation, integrated test planning, verification planning, and requirements traceability.

Responsibilities

  • Identify, analyze, review, and refine system level requirements in partnership with Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) and the customer
  • Allocate requirements to test teams (lab, ground, flight) and keep Integrated Test Strategies/Verification Plans current
  • Document verification needs, develop verification artifacts, generate requirement verification reports, and manage approval workflows
  • Create and maintain Interface Control Documents (ICDs) for test tools and facilities
  • Collaborate across disciplines—mechanical, software, test, and program management—to gain end to end insight into the Sentinel missile and Northrop Grumman processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline from an accredited university and 5 years of experience, or 3 years of experience with a Master's degree
  • U.S. citizen with an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope (< 6 yrs), with an ability to obtain and maintain SAP approval within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business need
  • Familiarity with the Systems Engineering process and test engineering practices
  • Strong analytical and problem solving abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Qualifications

  • Hands on test engineering or test execution work
  • Systems Engineering experience on aerospace or defense programs
  • Proficiency with requirements management tools (e.g., IBM DOORS)
  • In scope (
  • Prior employment with MMIII or Sentinel Weapon Systems
  • Team Leadership experience

Pay

Annual salary range: $98,400.00 - $147,600.00

Schedule

The standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
