Principal System Administrator- Will sponsor a clearance

U.S. citizenship and an active, transferable U.S. government-issued Secret security clearance are required on day one.

About the role

Principal System Administrator based in Tucson, AZ will collaborate and support critical programs with classified information system capabilities. You will develop, implement, and maintain secure, cost-efficient environments across various classified programs. Program teams rely on your collaboration and guidance to define computing requirements and create end-to-end solutions to solve complex IT infrastructure problems.

Responsibilities

• Provide IT systems administration in a heterogeneous Microsoft Windows environment supporting information systems.
• Work as a team member in a fast-paced technological environment.
• Use troubleshooting techniques to resolve technical problems of basic to moderate scope and complexity, including the integration of hardware and operating systems.
• Manage virtualized environments.
• Utilize experience with Windows Server internals to include DNS, DHCP, AD, and server replication methods.
• Utilize experience with hardware RAID, hardware and software encryption, and server management tools.
• Utilize experience in data backup and restore, using industry best practices.
• Install and configure software applications requested by end users.
• Work with Cybersecurity professionals to maintain security requirements.
• Obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification) within 6 months of start date.
• Systems are operational 24x7 and occasionally require work effort beyond standard work hours.
• Travel required as business needs dictate to other US domestic locations, up to 10% per year.

Requirements

• Typically requires a university degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. government-issued Secret security clearance.
• Linux or Windows experience.
• Experience in one of the following: Active Directory, VMware, or networking administration.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Active and transferable U.S. government-issued Secret security clearance.
• Experience with Containerization Technologies such as OpenShift, Kubernetes, Docker, Tanzu, and Rancher.
• Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Delivery Tools such as Gitlab, Jenkins, and Azure DevOps.
• Department of Defense Directive (DoDD) 8140 / 8570 Certification requirements (CompTIA Security+ CE or equivalent certification and an Operating System Certification).
• Experience with NISPOM, JAFAN, JSIG, DFARS, and/or DoD/RMF.
• Experience with networking administration, data storage, NAS, and SAN technologies.
• Experience using VMWare vCenter, vSphere, and ESX and/or other virtual computing methods.
• Experience with Microsoft WSUS, MECM, and/or Exchange.
• High Performance Computing (HPC) experience in a Linux environment.

Pay

The salary range for this role is 86,800 USD - 165,200 USD.
