Principal System Administrator/ System Administrator (Barksdale AFB)

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Sector is seeking a Systems Administrator or Principal Systems Administrator to join our team at Barksdale AFB, LA. This opportunity is contingent on program funding; start dates will be determined after funding confirmation.

Responsibilities
- Provide real-time support for Ground Systems multi-user computer systems supporting flight operations and maintenance.
- Account for, control, and deploy equipment.
- Configure user, administrator, and service accounts.
- Resolve technical and data movement issues between Ground Systems and external systems with partners.
- Perform field integration, troubleshooting, and repair of communications systems in a military flight operations environment, including operations on the flightline, in hangars, and in command-and-control centers.
- Adhere to checklists and procedures, providing redlines to procedures when necessary.
- Provide on-site end-user systems administration support 24 hours a day, 5 days a week as part of a team.
- Support systems administration through updates, configurations, security patches, drawings, and feedback to Responsible Engineers (REs).
- Communicate complex technical issues to local support, Main Operation Bases (MOBs), and Responsible Engineers (REs).
- Assist with trend analysis for Responsible Engineers (REs).
- Review and analyze supplier design data and define functional test requirements, including acceptance, qualification, and system integration.
- Test, maintain, and integrate communication systems equipment required to support ground and flight operations.
- Troubleshoot and repair internal operational issues with system admins, maintainers, and onsite personnel.
Requirements
Systems Administrator
- High School diploma/GED and 6 years of relevant Systems Administration experience; or Associate’s Degree and 4 years of relevant experience; or Bachelor’s Degree and 2 years of Systems Administration experience; or Master’s Degree.
- Experience with STIG compliance.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including extended shifts, holidays, weekends, and on-call support 24/7/365.
- Ability to transfer and maintain a final adjudicated U.S. government Secret clearance (must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any required program access within a reasonable timeframe.
Principal Systems Administrator
- High School diploma/GED and 9 years of relevant Systems Administration experience; or Associate’s Degree and 7 years of relevant experience; or Bachelor’s Degree and 5 years of Systems Administration experience; or Master’s Degree and 3 years of experience.
- Experience with STIG compliance.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to lift equipment weighing up to 40 pounds.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including extended shifts, holidays, weekends, and on-call support 24/7/365.
- Ability to transfer and maintain a final adjudicated U.S. government Secret clearance (must be in-scope or enrolled in Continuous Evaluation) and any required program access within a reasonable timeframe.
Preferred Qualifications
- Active U.S. government Top Secret clearance.
- Special Program Access.
- Experience with remote cloud architecture.
- Experience working in an Air Force flightline environment.
- Experience working with Air Force flight communications systems.
Pay
Primary Level Salary Range: $68,200.00 – $102,400.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $84,700.00 – $127,100.00
Base salary offers consider factors such as scope, responsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Eligible employees may receive overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses reward individual contributions and company results. Vice Presidents or Directors may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
