About the role

The Principal Subcontracts Administrator (SCA) will manage the end-to-end lifecycle of subcontracts, ensuring compliance with internal policies, FAR, and DFARS. This role involves preparing RFPs, negotiating terms and conditions, maintaining detailed documentation, issuing and managing complex subcontracts, and closing out subcontracts. The SCA will collaborate with various stakeholders, including engineering, program management, quality, and finance, to align subcontract requirements with program milestones.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and issue Request for Proposals (RFPs)
  • Lead negotiations on terms and conditions, pricing, and other aspects of subcontracts
  • Maintain meticulous documentation for all procurement actions
  • Issue and maintain complex subcontracts of various types (firm fixed price, cost plus, etc.) throughout different phases of program execution
  • Collaborate with program stakeholders to ensure alignment of subcontract requirements with program milestones
  • Interface with suppliers to foster professional and productive relationships
  • Support critical government and commercial proposals
  • Manage material sales receipts and approve invoices
  • Support internal and external audits
  • Collaborate with subcontract program managers to ensure supplier performance success

Requirements

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
  • Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of work experience or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of both government and commercial contracts
  • Proven ability to operate efficiently within a fast-paced, high-volume environment
  • Strong experience leading and managing entire procurement flow, from initial proposal to final closeout

Preferred

  • Bachelor's Degree in supply chain management or related discipline and 6 years or more of directly related work experience, preferably in a government-contracting environment
  • Working knowledge of Oracle ERP system
  • Contracts/Legal background
  • Secret clearance eligibility

Benefits

Full-time salary range: $110,617 - $188,048. Additional incentives may be available based on position level and job specifics.
