About the role

This position is based in Aurora, Colorado. The selected candidate will bring a strong background in computer hardware design and integration, focusing on understanding how changes in requirements impact hardware designs. This role involves working on systems utilizing diverse electrical signals including power, RF, and fiber optics.

Responsibilities

  • Create/Review/Update drawings, support equipment moves, rack and stack of equipment, and integrate compute equipment into shelters for deployment.
  • Experience/interest in power/cooling or site construction and traveling to support installation and configuration events would be a plus.
  • Participate in system-level testing and verification processes, ensuring hardware meets all specified requirements and standards.
  • Conduct troubleshooting and modifications on existing hardware designs to enhance performance and reliability.
  • Utilize clear technical writing to document design alterations, prepare status reports, and develop design specifications and validation plans.
  • Maintain a proactive attitude in meetings with cross-functional teams, demonstrating initiative and professionalism while engaging with colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Occasional travel to support field activities and hardware deployment.

Requirements

  • Principal/Level 3: Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 5+ years of relevant experience, OR Master’s degree in a STEM field with 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Sr. Principal/Level 4: Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 8+ years of relevant experience, OR Master’s degree in a STEM field with 6+ years of relevant experience.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance required at the time of application.
  • Experience with hardware design and integration processes.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the impacts of requirement changes on hardware design.
  • Familiarity with power, RF, and fiber electrical signal principles and applications.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 5+ years of relevant experience, OR Master’s degree in a STEM field with 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM field with 8+ years of relevant experience, OR Master’s degree in a STEM field with 6+ years of relevant experience.

Skills

  • Experience with complex system architectures and hardware validation procedures.
  • Knowledge of electronic components and their applications in communication systems.
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced engineering environment with a focus on field support operations is desirable.

Pay

Primary Level Salary Range: $114,000.00 - $171,000.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $142,200.00 - $213,400.00
