Northrop Grumman · Chantilly, VA · 1 mo ago
On-siteEngineering$104k–$155k/yrFull-time
We need to output HTML fragment with sections: About the role? The description includes a paragraph about Northrop Grumman and the role. We'll need headings: maybe "About the role" for the description paragraph(s). Then "Responsibilities" for the list of responsibilities. Then "Qualifications" maybe combine Basic Qualifications for both levels? Could separate "Principal Cyber Software Test Engineer" and "Sr. Principal Cyber Software Test Engineer" but we can combine under "Qualifications". However we need to preserve all substantive info. The posting includes Basic Qualifications for each level, Preferred Qualifications for both, Salary ranges, Benefits mention, Relocation assistance, Clearance required, Travel. Also location: Chantilly, VA. Also note relocation assistance may be available. Clearance required: Yes, Secret. Travel: No. We must not repeat job title as heading. No Job ID. Must not include boilerplate like EEO, equal opportunity, scam warning, application instructions, etc. Also remove duplicated lines. We need sections only when there is real specific content. So we can have: - About the role (description paragraph) - Responsibilities (list) - Qualifications (maybe split into Basic Qualifications and Preferred Qualifications? Could have two subsections? But headings only allowed for those listed: About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. We can use Qualifications for basic qualifications, Skills for preferred qualifications? Or Requirements for qualifications? The list includes Requirements as possible heading. We can use Requirements for basic qualifications, Skills for preferred qualifications, Benefits for benefits, Pay for salary ranges, Schedule maybe not present (no schedule info). Relocation assistance maybe could go under Benefits? Or we could add a short paragraph under About the role? Better to include a short paragraph under About the role that mentions location, clearance, travel, relocation assistance. We must not create Pay/Schedule/Benefits sections unless posting actually states them. It does state benefits (health insurance etc.) and salary ranges. So we can have Benefits and Pay sections. Schedule: not mentioned, so omit. We need to use

for section headings. Use
  • for any list of duties/requirements/benefits. Use

for prose. We must preserve all substantive info: location Chantilly, VA; relocation assistance may be available; clearance required Secret; travel no; responsibilities list; basic qualifications for each level; preferred qualifications; salary ranges; benefits description. We need to avoid repeating info. Ensure we include all. Let's craft:

    About the role

Relocation assistance may be available. As a Principal or Senior Principal Cyber Software Test Engineer, you will join a cross‑functional Northern Virginia Engineering Discipline Team working on mission‑critical software test activities.

Then Responsibilities: list each responsibility from the bullet-like sentences. We need to extract responsibilities from the paragraph after "As a Principal / Senior Principal Cyber Software Test Engineering, you will have the following responsibilities:" then list items separated by periods. Let's list them: - Work as a member of an agile software development test team in a challenging, dynamic, fast-paced environment learning new tools and processes. - Test new, mission-critical software applications across diverse platforms (e.g., Windows, Linux, Android), ensuring seamless integration with wireless services and custom hardware systems. - Validate software requirements through functional, usability, performance, security, compatibility, ad-hoc, internationalization, and regression tests. - Develop, maintain, and execute test plans and procedures for software systems. - Participate in cross-functional team meetings, decision-making, technical discussion, and defining new product functionality. - Review user stories and backlog items, analyze testability of requirements, and provide feedback. - Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to clarify user stories and determine appropriate testing scenarios to validate the iterative development of products against functional and technical specifications. - Timely identification of issues and effectively communicate impact to software developers, project managers, and appropriate parties to facilitate issue resolutions. - Demonstrate software capabilities at the completion of sprints to key stakeholders to ensure solutions meet customer requirements. - Conduct test case reviews and ensure all test activities are properly executed and documented according to our client's standards. - Configure hardware and software test equipment. - Troubleshoot and isolate system failures. - Clearly identify and document defects and collaborate with the development team to prioritize bugs until resolution. - Articulate open issues and risks to management in a timely manner and make recommendations. We'll put each as
  • . Then Qualifications: we could have Basic Qualifications for Principal and Sr. Principal. Could combine but need to differentiate. Perhaps use

    Qualifications

    then

Basic Qualifications for Principal Cyber Software Test Engineer:

    then
      list. Then

Basic Qualifications for Sr. Principal Cyber Software Test Engineer:

      then
. Then Preferred Qualifications for Both Levels: maybe under Skills heading. But the allowed headings include Skills. So we could put Preferred Qualifications under Skills. Thus:

        Secondary Level Salary Range: $129,300.00 - $193,900.00

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions. Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.

We should not include schedule. Also we should not include EEO, citizenship, application period, etc. Also we should not duplicate the clearance info multiple times; we have it in About the role and also in qualifications. That's okay but we might be repeating. However we need to preserve all substantive info; repeating is okay but maybe we can keep it only once. The About the role already mentions clearance required and travel and relocation. The qualifications also mention clearance. It's okay to repeat but maybe we can avoid duplication by not repeating in qualifications? But the qualifications require clearance; it's substantive. We could keep it in qualifications and not repeat in About the role? But About the role also needs to mention clearance and travel and relocation. We could keep both; it's not prohibited to repeat. The instruction: "Preserve ALL substantive information; do NOT invent or summarize away detail." Repeating is fine as long as we don't lose info. It's okay. We must not include boilerplate like EEO, citizenship, application period, etc. We removed those. Check for any other substantive info: "Primary Level Salary Range" and "Secondary Level Salary Range" we included. Also mention that the above salary range is a guideline etc. We included that. Also mention that employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonus, annual bonuses, long term incentives for VP/Director. We included. Also mention that Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance etc. We included benefits list. Also mention relocation assistance may be available. Included. Also mention clearance required for start: Yes, clearance type Secret. Included. Also mention travel: No. Included. Also mention location: Chantilly, VA. Included. Also mention that the position will be located at a Mission Systems Sector site in Chantilly, VA. Included. Also mention that the position is for Principal and Sr. Principal Cyber Software Test Engineer to join cross functional Northern Virginia Engineering Discipline Team. Included. Also mention that the application period etc removed. Check for any other info: "The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions." Included. Also "Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime,
