Responsibilities
- Manages supplier quality performance through prevention, monitoring/escalation processes, processing of supplier submission of nonconforming material.
- Manages/Supports supplier onboarding and qualification/certification.
- Manages source inspection and material release processes.
- Performs Escape management procedures, drives root cause analysis & problem solving and recommends corrective and preventive action for systemic supplier process and product materials.
- Supports the RTX supplier programs to ensure healthy continuous improvement and sustainability.
- Analyzes quality data to identify systemic issues and develops supplier specific quality initiative strategies; addressing them with key proactive quality tools (e.g. PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow and Control Plans, SPC, etc.), as well as driving their implementation.
- Ensures that supplier is capable to meet all contract requirements including Resourcing Gate, Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) acceptance and Work Transfer implementation.
- Adapts and uses multiples forms of interaction styles to convince and / or persuade people / stakeholders to follow ideas and proposals.
- Uses flexible and adaptable working styles to build and develop effective cross-functional teamwork.
- Travels up to 50%.
Qualifications
- Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience.
- Background in Electronics.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to speak effectively and easily with both internal and external executives and employees.
- 6+ years professional experience in a supply chain operations environment (monitoring, auditing, developing suppliers/operations) or equivalent.
