Principal Software Engineer, Tech Lead - Platform

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve the company's next-generation architecture
• Build an AI-ready data platform with semantic layers and feature stores
• Serve as a primary technical partner for analysts and engineers
• Set technical direction and mentor engineers across teams
• Define monitoring standards and lead performance tuning
• Drive adoption of a unified governance layer for data management
• Define operating model and administration for lakehouse platforms
• Own CI/CD strategy for deployments and enforce DevOps practices

Qualifications

• 7+ years in data engineering or data platform roles
• 2+ years in a technical lead or architecture position
• Hands-on expertise with Databricks, AWS EMR, and Delta Lake
• Demonstrated experience with Lakehouse architectures and ELT/ETL pipelines
• Strong knowledge of data governance and cloud security best practices
• Excellent communication skills for diverse stakeholders
