Principal Software Engineer, Security

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of secure software systems to enhance the company’s security posture
• Act as a technical leader, driving improvements in security practices across the organization
• Collaborate with engineering and security teams to implement hands-on risk mitigation solutions
• Guide architectural decisions with deep technical knowledge and establish best practices
• Translate organizational security priorities into actionable engineering outcomes
• Mentor fellow engineers, promoting security awareness and practices within projects
• Serve as the primary point of contact for security expertise, ensuring alignment with internal and external requirements

Qualifications

• 10+ years in software development and information security, focusing on identity and access management
• Experience designing and implementing cloud-native identity infrastructure and security services
• Expertise in secure development, public cloud security, and network security
• Knowledge of Zero Trust principles and least-privilege access in distributed systems
• Experience with large-scale migrations of critical systems or data with minimal customer impact
• Familiarity or willingness to learn about securing AI systems and mitigating AI-specific threats
• Strong mentoring skills with a track record of developing security engineers
