Principal Software Engineer - Executive Director

Job Responsibilities

  • Creates complex and scalable coding frameworks using appropriate software design frameworks
  • Architects and governs agentic AI-enabled engineering workflows (using enterprise-authorized tools within the work environment) to improve delivery speed, code quality, and operational outcomes at scale
  • Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation at scale
  • Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
  • Advise cross-functional teams on technological matters within your domain of expertise
  • Serves as the function's go-to subject matter expert
  • Contributes to the development of technical methods in specialized fields in line with the latest product development methodologies
  • Creates durable, reusable software frameworks that are leveraged across teams and functions
  • Influences leaders and senior stakeholders across business, product, and technology teams
  • Champions the firm's culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

  • A. Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 7+ years applied experience (NAMR/APAC – India/ LATAM/ Hong Kong)
  • B. Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and advanced applied experience (EMEA/LATAM-Brazil)
  • C. Singapore follows local country guidance
  • Demonstrated experience designing and leading adoption of agentic AI-enabled development practices (using enterprise-authorized tools within the work environment) across teams, including setting standards for human-in-the-loop validation, auditability/traceability of changes, and secure handling of sensitive data
  • Strong understanding of responsible AI use and control expectations in engineering workflows, including security/resiliency implications, data sensitivity, and risk-based governance; ability to influence senior technical leaders on safe scaling patterns and reuse
  • Expert in one or more programming language(s) - preferably Python, with a strong understanding of scripting, automation, and data analysis
  • Advanced knowledge of software application development and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, etc.)
  • Strong expertise in building big Data applications using PySpark, EKS, Databricks, S3, Iceberg and other allied technologies
  • Experience working with feature teams of software engineers, Product owners, Agility leads to deliver intensive data driven applications
  • Experience in data technologies handling complex data processing requirements, including data streaming and messaging frameworks (e.g., Kafka, Spark Structured Streaming), as well as development experience on private and public cloud platforms (using EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, EKS, Step Functions, Glue), ETLs, and data pipelines
  • Ability to present and effectively communicate with Senior Leaders and Executives
  • Understanding of the Finance business domain
  • Experience in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field
