Principal Software Engineer

Job Description

GliaCell is seeking a Principal Software Engineer on one of our subcontracts. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to support a U.S. Government customer.

The mission is to provide technical expertise that assists in sustaining critical mission-related software and systems to a large government contract.

Description:

• Support a suite of web-based applications that automate data management for IC data custodians.
• The products facilitate the capture of information and approvals that allow for the movement of data through the customer mission space in a compliant manner.
• These products are critical to standardize and simplify data movement as well as data reuse and integration with downstream tools.
• You will become a member of a mature software development effort using Java as the primary language.
• The development effort uses Agile methods to assign, track and manage software activities and requirements within the team.
• This position will allow you to broaden your skills in the Java language as well as use technologies such as Quarkus and PrimeFaces.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement complex algorithms requiring adherence to strict timing, system resource, or interface constraints.
• Perform quality control on team products.
• Implement recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards.
• Confer with system engineers and hardware engineers to derive software requirements and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.
• Cook up software system installation and monitor equipment functions to ensure operational specifications are met.

Key Requirements

• Possess an active or rein-statable TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.
• To be considered for this position you must have the following:
• U.S. Citizenship
• Professional/Education experience: 20 years & Bachelors of Science Degree, or 4 additional years in place of a BS Degree.
• Works well independently as well as on a team.
• Strong communication skills.

Salary Range

The salary range for this full-time position is $200,000 to $280,000.
