Principal Software Engineer
Job Description
GliaCell is seeking a Principal Software Engineer on one of our subcontracts. This is a full-time position offering the opportunity to support a U.S. Government customer.
The mission is to provide technical expertise that assists in sustaining critical mission-related software and systems to a large government contract.
Description:
- Support a suite of web-based applications that automate data management for IC data custodians.
- The products facilitate the capture of information and approvals that allow for the movement of data through the customer mission space in a compliant manner.
- These products are critical to standardize and simplify data movement as well as data reuse and integration with downstream tools.
- You will become a member of a mature software development effort using Java as the primary language.
- The development effort uses Agile methods to assign, track and manage software activities and requirements within the team.
- This position will allow you to broaden your skills in the Java language as well as use technologies such as Quarkus and PrimeFaces.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement complex algorithms requiring adherence to strict timing, system resource, or interface constraints.
- Perform quality control on team products.
- Implement recommendations for improving documentation and software development process standards.
- Confer with system engineers and hardware engineers to derive software requirements and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces.
- Cook up software system installation and monitor equipment functions to ensure operational specifications are met.
Key Requirements
- Possess an active or rein-statable TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance.
- To be considered for this position you must have the following:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Professional/Education experience: 20 years & Bachelors of Science Degree, or 4 additional years in place of a BS Degree.
- Works well independently as well as on a team.
- Strong communication skills.

Salary Range
The salary range for this full-time position is $200,000 to $280,000.
