Principal Software Engineer, AI Agents & Generative AI

For our client, we are seeking a Principal Software Engineer, AI Agents & Generative AI to join the team of a leader in the Aerospace & Defense space. This role will help shape next-generation AI-enabled software products built on complex geospatial data and advanced machine learning capabilities. You will design intelligent agent workflows, integrate large language models, and contribute to secure, cloud-connected solutions that support analysis and decision-making. The position is highly collaborative and will partner with data, engineering, and product stakeholders to improve reliability, automation, and overall system performance. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $150,000 – $220,000 annually Responsibilities Design, develop, and deploy AI-native software products from geospatial data Implement multi-agent workflows with modern orchestration frameworks Integrate state-of-the-art large language models for analysis and decision-making Engineer agents for dynamic tool use and self-refinement Develop robust data ingestion and transformation layers for analytics Ensure secure integrations across cloud and enterprise environments Create feedback loops to improve model reliability Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field; advanced degrees preferred Must be a U.S. Citizen 7+ years of experience in technology, especially in software engineering and AI/ML Strong understanding of cloud data management and machine learning pipelines, including AWS or GCP Demonstrated software development skills in Python, JavaScript, or similar languages Benefits Robust 401(k) with company match Mental health resources available Student loan repayment assistance Adoption reimbursement offered Pet insurance support Incentive eligibility based on performance and contributions Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
