Principal Software Cybersecurity Engineer

Responsibilities
- Design and implement anti-tamper protections and embedded cybersecurity frameworks for safety-critical and secure product lines.
- Lead secure software engineering activities including code analysis, requirements evaluation, architecture reviews, and interface design to ensure robust system security.
- Develop, test, and debug secure applications using languages such as C/C++, Python, and shell scripting.
- Support cybersecurity validation and testing efforts across diverse platforms including embedded systems, RF technologies, and advanced hardware solutions.
- Build and maintain embedded Linux environments, including creation and customization of Linux distributions using embedded build frameworks.
- Collaborate in a cross-functional engineering environment using Agile methodologies and modern development tools.
- Contribute to system hardening efforts and ensure compliance with security standards and best practices across the development lifecycle.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Cybersecurity, or a related technical field.
- 9+ years of experience in software development or cybersecurity, including 5+ years focused on application security or system hardening in a senior capacity.
- Strong background in software and system analysis, including code review, requirements assessment, and secure design practices.
- Proficiency in C/C++, Python, and scripting languages for secure application development.
- Experience working with Linux systems, including administration and development of embedded distributions.
- Familiarity with modern development and collaboration tools used in Agile engineering environments.
- Able to obtain and maintain a government security clearance.
- Possession of, or ability to obtain, an industry-recognized cybersecurity certification (e.g., Security+, CISSP).
