Principal Security Researcher

For our client, we are seeking a Principal Security Researcher to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space. This role will shape advanced security research efforts across complex software environments, with a strong emphasis on discovering systemic weaknesses before they can be exploited. You will partner closely with engineering and product stakeholders to validate vulnerabilities, develop proof-of-concept exploits, and help drive effective remediation strategies. The position also includes defining security requirements for AI-enabled and agentic surfaces as the organization expands its technical footprint. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $203,200 – $275,000 annually Responsibilities Conduct and lead security research projects across multiple functional areas Identify and validate systemic vulnerabilities in the company's platform Develop proof-of-concept exploits for real-world attack scenarios Drive remediation initiatives for emerging vulnerability classes in the codebase Research and define security requirements for AI and agentic surfaces Qualifications 10+ years of experience in security research, penetration testing, or offensive security roles Strong ability in discovering and exploiting vulnerabilities in large codebases and complex systems Proficiency in two or more of Ruby, Go, Python, TypeScript, or Rust Strong knowledge of AI frameworks and AI attack vectors Excellent written communication skills for articulating complex topics clearly Benefits Benefits to support your health, finances, and well-being Flexible Paid Time Off Equity Compensation & Employee Stock Purchase Plan Growth and Development Fund Parental Leave Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
