Principal Security Architect

This role focuses on IT/OT Network Architecture, enforcing the Purdue Model network segmentation and Zero Trust boundaries across hybrid cloud and field OT/SCADA environments. The successful candidate will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and validate security controls, ensuring compliance with TSA Pipeline Security Directives and API standards. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to transition into a principal architecture role while making a significant impact in securing industrial control systems.Key Responsibilities:Author High-Level and Low-Level Designs, including boundary control diagrams and enterprise security patterns aligned with TOGAF principles.Design telemetry collection and implement SIEM rule tuning and EDR/XDR strategies across IT/OT boundaries to enhance security posture.Conduct threat modeling and cyber risk evaluations for major capital projects, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.Collaborate with teams to enforce Zero Trust security measures and the Purdue Model for network segmentation in various environments.Required Qualifications:TOGAF certification highly preferred, demonstrating knowledge of enterprise architecture principles.Proven career progression from hands-on technical roles into a principal architecture role, showcasing leadership in security architecture.Strong working knowledge of CIS Controls, NIST SP 800-82, and ISA/IEC 62443, essential for securing industrial control systems.Experience with Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender XDR, and Fortinet Security Fabric, indicating hands-on technical skills in security tools.Deep experience securing midstream, energy, or industrial control system (ICS/OT) environments, highlighting relevant industry experience.Additional Details:Location: Houston, TX 77002This role offers a unique opportunity to advance into a principal architecture position while actively contributing to the security of industrial control systems.
