Key Responsibilities
- Partner with scientists to design computational strategies that answer key biological questions.
- Develop and implement bioinformatics pipelines for the analysis of multi-omics datasets.
- Evaluate and introduce emerging analytical methods and technologies where appropriate.
- Analyse RNAseq, proteomics, phospho-proteomics and whole genome sequencing data.
- Integrate pathway databases, network resources and published literature to generate meaningful biological insights.
- Present complex analyses in a clear and impactful way.
- Lead bioinformatics workstreams from conception through to delivery.
- Mentor junior team members.
Requirements
- PhD in Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genomics or a related field.
- 4 or more years of post-PhD industry experience.
- Strong programming skills in Python and/or R.
- Proficiency analysing bulk RNA-seq datasets.
- Expertise in statistical analysis of transcriptomics and proteomics data, including differential expression and pathway analysis.
- Experience integrating multi-omics datasets to answer biological questions.
- Strong understanding of molecular biology and drug discovery.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary research teams.
