About the role
Build the AWS Cloud Computing business for the United States Department of War. Engage with key Defense customers, systems integrators, and solutions providers to adopt and deliver cloud computing solutions.
Responsibilities
- Develop a growing book of business in the Department of War sales team.
- Drive business and technical relationships and close business at a rapid rate.
- Help define, identify, and pursue key opportunities.
- Establish deep business and technical relationships through knowledge of the customer’s mission and the AWS partner community.
- Have day-to-day interactions with key strategic partners, DIB partners, and emerging tech partners.
- Have both a business background enabling engagement at senior military and civilian levels.
- Have a technical background enabling interaction with partners, staff officers, contracting officials, software developers, and architects.
- Think strategically about the mission, product, and technical challenges, building and conveying compelling value propositions.
- Identify key strategies for growth applicable across Defense and Intelligence business areas.
- Be able to travel as necessary.
Requirements
US Citizen required.
Qualifications
- 15+ years of IT sales experience.
- Experience reaching and exceeding sales revenue goals.
- Experience delivering results for large, cross-functional initiatives/projects or communicating results to senior leadership.
- Experience working with systems integrators and consulting companies to achieve sales.
- Bachelor's degree or above, or 5+ years of equivalent experience.
- Master's degree or above in computer science, engineering, mathematics, or equivalent, or Master's degree and 5+ years of professional or military experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- US government security clearance of top secret or above.
- 8+ years of enterprise scale infrastructure or development-based cloud programs/projects in a related industry experience.
