About the role
The Raytheon Receiver/Exciter & Processing Architecture (REPA) Department is the focal point for receiver, exciter, beam steering, and signal processing technology within Raytheon. This role involves designing and developing transmitters, receivers, or exciters, optimizing RF circuits, and supporting production activities.
Responsibilities
- Design and development of transmitters, receivers, or exciters.
- Design and optimization of RF circuits – either chains of components (receiver, exciter, etc.) or individual parts (filters, limiters, couplers, etc.).
- Working with interdisciplinary teams – power, digital, mechanical, etc.
- Schematic capture and RF routing.
- Technical support during the transition to production and support to production activities.
Requirements
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years' of prior relevant experience.
- Experience with Microwave/RF system, subsystem and/or component analysis, design and/or test.
- Experience with electromagnetic simulation tools (e.g., HFSS, ADS, CST, and/or Mentor Graphics’ Xpedition) and analytical tools (e.g., MATLAB).
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued Secret security clearance is required.
- U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
Qualifications
- Experience working in design, from concept through production.
- Experience translating system performance and operation specifications into hardware requirements, design, and test specifications.
- Background in designing for manufacturability, producibility, and cost constraints, which includes yield and margin analysis.
- Problem-solving skills with ability to proactively identify alternate solutions to overcome difficult technical challenges.
- Experience in technical / proposal writing and oral presentations.
- Technical background in any of the following areas: Cascade analysis and/or frequency planning, Filter design and fabrication, Circuit card assembly and fabrication, High speed data converter test / characterization, Low Noise RF source design and test experience.
Benefits
This 1st shift role will be 100% on-site and based in either Tewksbury, MA or Marlborough, MA.
Pay
$107,500 - $204,500
