Principal Quality Analyst / Sr. Principal Quality Analyst

About the role

Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems Mission Assurance Team is seeking a Principal Quality Analyst or Senior Principal Quality Analyst located in Oklahoma City, OK.

Responsibilities

• Proactively manage Supplier Quality risk to drive down supplier escapes.
• Develop and implement supplier quality evaluation and control systems.
• Assure supplier process and product quality, including contractual, regulatory, and technical compliance.
• Interface directly with supplier personnel and assess both supplier quality and manufacturing processes and procedures.
• Conduct product and process verification activities, monitor supplier quality performance, and drive root cause corrective action analysis for supplier quality issues.
• Support the maintenance of the approved supplier list and periodically review supplier performance to determine whether suppliers should remain on the approved list.
• Manage supplier requests for waivers, deviations and discrepancy reporting process.
• Keep management apprised of supplier performance, quality status, and risks.
• Coordinate and oversee Supplier Quality plan implementation through all program phases.
• Actively engage in supplier evaluation, qualification and selection as part of the Business Acquisition Process (BAP) and as new procurements are required on existing programs.
• Manage implementation of Supplier Quality processes, including supplier approval activities, source selection evaluations, supplier classification designation (Critical, Key and Standard), development and execution of risk assessments and mitigation plans, and supplier quality requirements development and flow-downs.
• Travel to supplier sites as needed to support the program.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, hardware and software development functions to ensure quality standards are in place.
• Audit quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.

Requirements

• Principal Quality Analyst: Bachelor’s degree with 5 years of experience in Supplier Quality or Manufacturing; or Master’s degree with 3 years of experience; or PhD with 1 year of experience.
• Senior Principal Quality Analyst: Bachelor’s degree with 8 years of experience in Supplier Quality or Manufacturing; or Master’s degree with 6 years of experience; or PhD with 4 years of experience.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 or AS9100 requirements.
• Ability to work on-site in Oklahoma City, OK.
• Active US Government Secret Clearance and ability to obtain and maintain special program access.
• Experience with SAP.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of statistical process control.
• Understanding of NADCAP certified processes.
• Certified in lean and six-sigma quality engineering methodologies.
• Experience with electronics, schematics, drawings, etc.

Pay

• Principal Level Salary Range: $77,000 – $115,600
• Senior Principal Level Salary Range: $96,200 – $144,200

Salary offers are determined by scope, responsibilities, experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Overtime, shift differential, and discretionary bonuses may apply.

Schedule

Work schedule is 9×80 (Monday–Thursday every other Friday).

Clearance

Active US Government Secret Clearance required for start; must be able to obtain and maintain special program access.

Travel

Up to 10% of the time.
