About the role

The AWS Professional Services (ProServe) team is seeking an experienced ProServe Cloud Architect (PCA) to join our team at Amazon Web Services (AWS). In this role, you'll work closely with customers to understand their technical requirements and business objectives, designing and implementing tailored cloud solutions. You'll be a key player in the pre-sales process, providing technical expertise and guidance throughout the customer's cloud journey.

Responsibilities

  • Create and lead the solution design to address customer business outcomes (CBO)
  • Provide technical guidance and best practices during pre-sales and implementation phases
  • Collaborate with Account Managers and Shared Delivery Teams to ensure proposed solutions are realistic and achievable
  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers on industry trends and emerging technologies
  • Share knowledge within the organization through mentoring, training, and creating reusable artifacts

Requirements

  • Experience managing and delivering large-scale enterprise IT projects
  • Experience with IT compliance and risk management requirements (e.g. security, privacy, SOX, HIPAA etc.)
  • Experience with software development life cycle (sdlc) and agile/iterative methodologies

Qualifications

  • Experience with AWS services including compute, storage, networking, security, databases, machine learning, and serverless technologies
  • Knowledge of compliance and security standards including HIPAA and GDPR
  • Experience implementing AWS services in a variety of distributed computing environments
  • Experience managing executive customer relationships and key business stakeholders
  • Experience with enterprise architecture frameworks (like TOGAF, Zachman) and identifying the relationships between business services, information, applications and global infrastructure assets
  • Experience with enterprise systems including SAP, Oracle, and custom applications
  • Experience in performance optimization and cost management for cloud environments
  • Experience explaining technical concepts in pre-sales environments

Skills

  • Advanced degree in advanced technology or AWS Professional level certification
  • Knowledge of compliance and security standards across the enterprise IT landscape
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks (like TOGAF, Zachman)
  • Experience with enterprise systems including SAP, Oracle, and custom applications
  • Experience in performance optimization and cost management for cloud environments
  • Experience explaining technical concepts in pre-sales environments

Pay

Base salary range for this position is listed below:

  • USA, CA, San Francisco - 210,200.00 - 284,300.00 USD annually
  • USA, IL, Chicago - 182,800.00 - 247,300.00 USD annually
  • USA, NY, New York - 201,000.00 - 272,000.00 USD annually
  • USA, TX, Dallas - 182,800.00 - 247,300.00 USD annually
