About the Role

Infosys Consulting's Oil & Gas Practice is looking for an experienced Digital Consultant with Upstream O & G sector experience. As a Principal Consultant – Project Management, you are responsible for working with senior business/IT stakeholders to deliver complex business/IT projects or programs.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage knowledge of project management processes, such as Waterfall and Agile methodologies to deliver projects
  • Uncover business requirements, process improvements, and insights, then translate them into actionable outcomes
  • Facilitate discussions with the client to elaborate on the areas of proposed improvements
  • Define the problem concisely and hypothesize the proposed solution
  • Perform quantitative and qualitative analysis to drive the proposed solution
  • Consolidate the findings from the analysis and present solutions to the client
  • Develop and present a plan to implement the recommended changes
  • Ensure projects get delivered on time within the stipulated scope and budget
  • Lead the initiation and planning of a project and ensure technical feasibility
  • Develop a detailed plan to monitor and track the progress of the project
  • Coordinate with internal and external parties for the flawless execution of projects
  • Perform risk management analysis and report/escalate to stakeholders
  • Manage software development projects and facilitate sprint releases
  • Manage projects and programs with a focus on achieving results with concrete and actionable ROI

Qualifications

  • Solid experience in project/program management of Oil & Gas projects
  • Self-directed and independent contributor, as well as works seamlessly with the team
  • Strong understanding of the latest developments in the Digital space for the Oil & Gas sector
  • Deep knowledge in at least one of the Oil & Gas process areas: exploration, development, production, facilities, midstream, downstream, and chemicals
  • Solid experience in Project Management processes, project lifecycle management, and advanced skills in using Agile tools such as MS Project, ADO, JIRA, etc.
  • Advanced skill in working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite, specifically Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Certified in PMP/PRINCE2/CSM/SAFe
  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent from an accredited institution
  • Willingness to travel 4 days a week to multiple local, state, and national client locations
  • U.S. citizens and those authorized to work in the U.S. are encouraged to apply (no sponsorship available)
  • Desire to work as part of a cross-cultural team, including flexibility to support multiple time zones
  • At least 10+ years of industry work experience, and 4+ years of relevant work experience

  • Ability to lead multidisciplinary teams, mentor others, and steer the team towards delivery excellence
  • Ability to establish structure in ambiguous situations and manage intensive workloads with little or no assistance
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and a growth mindset
  • Demonstrated core consulting skills: conflict management, flexibility, negotiation, workstream management, adaptability, assertiveness, strong work ethic, research, and analysis
  • Ability to contribute to firm initiatives: knowledge-building, recruiting, developing offerings, thought leadership, and business development
  • Understanding of Cloud capabilities (AWS, GCP, or Azure)
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
