Principal Project Engineer

About the role

As a Principal Project Engineer you will support development of AP1000 projects from initiation to completion. You will support overseeing project design and implementation while ensuring cost efficiency, and adherence to project timelines. The Principal Project Engineer will collaborate with teams, provide technical guidance, and create improvements within the engineering function.

Key Responsibilities

• Help develop engineering projects, ensuring agreement on goals and industry standards.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, promoting innovation and best practices.
• Develop and oversee project schedules, budgets, and resources, ensuring timely delivery within scope.
• Collaborate with team members, including clients, vendors, and our teams, to ensure project requirements are met.
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory, safety, and quality standards relevant to engineering projects.
• Find and address project risks, implementing proactive solutions to address challenges.
• Conduct technical reviews, feasibility studies, and performance evaluations to improve project execution.
• Promote process improvements and the use of new technologies to enhance project efficiency

Qualifications

• Ability to travel internationally to support the Poland Project development
• Bachelor's degree in engineering (Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, or related field)
• 10+ years of experience in project engineering/management or equivalent roles of increased responsibilities, with experience leading complex projects
• Knowledge of project management methodologies, engineering principles, and industry regulations
• Proficiency in project management software and engineering tools (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Primavera, and PowerBI)
• Professional Engineer (PE) license or PMP certification helpful
• Prior Westinghouse AP1000 knowledge or project experience helpful

Pay

The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $103,200 to $129,000 per year.
