Principal Project Control Manager

What You'll Be Doing

• Implementing standard tracking tools and coordinate deliverables and tasking within the project control team
• Maintaining weekly updates of financial status and running the meeting with PM and Technical Direction Letter leads
• Interfacing with clients, attending regular meetings, and providing financial reports
• Leading in the analysis, evaluation, and development of monthly and quarterly forecasts
• Creating engineering cost estimates for incoming Technical Direction Letters
• Cooking staffing requirements, assigning and supervising project work activities, and training personnel
• Completing performance reviews and provide personnel development
• Accumulating and accessing historical data for use in maintaining a realistic basis for future planning and forecasting
• Customizing project control systems to meet specific project requirements
• Performing other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate

Required Skills

• 4-year degree in Finance or Business Management or equivalent work experience
• 8+ years of Federal Government Project Controls experience
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros, financial modeling)
• Experience with financial planning software (e.g., Hyperion, Adaptive Insights, SAP BPC)
• Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, or similar)
• Knowledge of project accounting and earned value management (EVM)
• Understanding of government contract accounting (FAR/CAS) preferred for government contractors
