Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking a Principal Production Operations professional to join our team at the San Diego Rancho Carmel location. This is a full-time, on-site role. As a Control Account Manager / Operations Program Manager (CAM/OPM), you will be responsible for the establishment and maintenance of control account budgets, schedules, scope, and technical performance measurement, as well as all manufacturing and/or development efforts of project execution and cost.

Responsibilities

  • Manage to a line of balance, oversee and/or guide root cause and corrective actions to closure.
  • Review status of projects and budgets; manage schedules and prepare status reports.
  • Interface with technical leadership, program management, engineering, production control, global supply chain, and production supervisors to ensure hardware modules are built within cost and budget while meeting operation build schedules.
  • Manage Integrated Master Schedules and overall hardware status.
  • Read and interpret engineering documentation, BOM Structures, and PLM tools.
  • Lead projects and/or process improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of related professional experience in project management, supply chain, mathematics, engineering, operations, or business. 8 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office applications, including advanced skills in PowerPoint, Word, and Excel (e.g., Pivot Tables).
  • Experience with MRP knowledge, including gathering, manipulating, and processing raw data at scale.
  • Experience interpreting data from SAP, PDM, and MES systems.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance with Special Program Access (PAR/SAP).
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience with EVMS processes, baseline forecasting, risk and opportunity management, and Control Account Management (CAM).
  • Advanced experience gathering, manipulating, and processing raw data at scale, including interpreting data from SAP, PDM, and Solumina systems.
  • Strong presentation skills for senior leadership.
  • Experience with SharePoint, Tableau, and Solumina systems.

Pay

Primary level salary range: $103,600.00 – $155,400.00. The final offer considers factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate’s experience, education, skills, and current market conditions. Eligible employees may receive overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions and company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
