Principal Product Software Engineer - AI

Location: Remote – US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

About the role

Lead work at the intersection of data, AI-enabled capabilities, and scalable technology delivery. You will collaborate across engineering, product, operations, and business stakeholders to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions. This position offers the opportunity to influence architecture, execution quality, and the technology capabilities that enable long-term growth within a Technical Services environment.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement task-focused AI agents for audit assistance
• Develop document understanding and structured-data extraction systems
• Lead production-grade AI services, ensuring rapid iteration with product teams
• Collaborate across product portfolio to create applicable AI solutions
• Implement AI features using modern frameworks with a focus on security and scalability
• Engage in partnership with product managers to deeply understand business challenges and technical solutions
• Deliver technical projects from inception to delivery

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Equivalent
• 9+ years of software application development experience (Python, Java, or C+)
• 3+ years hands-on experience with LLMs or AI systems (preferably NLP)
• Proficient in full-stack development
• Experience with Agile/XP practices including TDD/BDD and pair programming
• Familiarity with AI coding tools like GitHub Copilot
• Regular use of GenAI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, etc.) in development workflow

Pay

$173,500 – $310,000 annually
