Principal Product Manager - Tech, Security Compliance and Engineering
About the Role
We are seeking a Principal Product Manager Technical to lead the direction of a portfolio of security products with company-wide security, risk, and compliance impact. This role involves owning one of these products directly, defining how they come together, and establishing a single experience for builders and security teams. You will operate in ambiguous spaces, defining problems before proposing solutions, and influencing engineering priorities, partner-team roadmaps, and security strategy across multiple VP organizations.
Responsibilities
- Own portfolio direction: Define how products relate to each other, allocate capabilities, and decide what to stop doing.
- Own a flagship product: Manage the roadmap and ranked backlog as the single prioritizer.
- Define strategy in ambiguous spaces: Establish problems, customers, and multi-year directions, bringing clarity for execution.
- Influence across organizations: Build partnerships with security, compliance, legal, and builder-tooling teams, reaching agreements without direct authority.
- Set the measurement bar: Define outcome metrics and hold the portfolio accountable, replacing activity metrics with evidence of improved security posture.
- Develop the product function: Raise the bar on product management practices, mentor product and program managers, and participate in hiring.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of technical product or program management experience.
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition.
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product.
- Bachelor's degree.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working directly with Engineers on product enhancements.
- Experience owning a suite of related products or a platform portfolio.
- Experience with security, risk intelligence, compliance, or governance products.
- Experience building developer-facing platforms adopted at scale across a large engineering population.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tooling and agentic workflows.
- Experience turning regulatory obligations into durable product capability.
- Experience mentoring product managers and raising the bar on product practice.
- MBA or equivalent.
