Principal Product Manager - Search Relevance (Remote - United States)
What You'll Do
- Define and execute a product roadmap for Search, aligned with Yelp’s overall business objectives by staying abreast of industry trends and competitive landscape and identifying opportunities for innovation.
- Understand consumer needs and pain points, and translate them into product requirements by working closely with UXR and Data Science.
- Identify areas for improvement, define & prioritize algorithm development initiatives aligned with business objectives and market trends.
- Analyze large datasets to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Leverage data-driven insights to inform product decisions and optimize algorithm performance.
- Lead the development of Search products from conception to launch. Foster a data-driven culture to measure and optimize product performance.
- Collaborate with engineering, design, and data science to deliver exceptional products. Lead and mentor a team of data scientists, engineers, and analysts and drive innovation on search algorithms.
- Drive consumer engagement and retention through innovative product solutions.
What It Takes To Succeed
- Proven track record and extensive experience in leading technical product development in a fast-paced, data-driven environment, preferably in the Search space.
- Strong understanding of machine learning.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate data into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong collaborator who enjoys working across different teams, functions, and timezones.
- Advanced degree in Computer Science, Economics, Statistics, or a related field and have experience solving large computational problems.
- A Bachelor’s Degree or an equivalent work experience is required.
Pay
Based on the anticipated level of experience we are seeking, we expect the compensation range for this role to be between $207,000 and $326,000. You may also be offered a bonus, restricted stock units, and benefits.
