Principal Product Manager, Public Sector & Regulated Industries
About the role
Celonis is seeking a Product Manager to lead the strategy and execution for SaaS and self-managed products within highly regulated industries and the public sector. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in compliance, security, and experience with public/regulated entities, especially concerning hybrid and private cloud deployment models.
Responsibilities
Define and prioritize product features, certifications, and documentation necessary to meet specific industry regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA, FedRAMP, ISO standards, local government mandates).
Drive the product roadmap for deployment options, including single-tenant, hybrid, and private cloud/on-premise deployments, ensuring the product meets stringent performance, security, and update requirements in these regulated environments.
Develop and execute the product roadmap for public sector and regulated markets, identifying key pain points, emerging compliance needs, and competitive differentiation.
Act as the voice of the regulated and public sector customer, collaborating closely with Sales, Legal, Security/Compliance, Engineering, and Marketing teams.
Translate complex legal and regulatory requirements into clear, actionable user stories and product specifications.
Support Bids & Proposals and Sales Enablement by providing product expertise related to security, compliance, and public sector-specific features.
Requirements
3+ years of Product Management experience, preferably with a B2B SaaS product.
Demonstrable experience working within or extensively selling/developing for regulated industries (e.g., Financial Services, Healthcare) or the Public Sector/Government.
Familiarity with private cloud, hybrid cloud, or self-managed deployment models and the unique operational challenges they present.
Strong understanding of security frameworks, data governance, and regulatory compliance requirements relevant to cloud software.
Great knowledge of cloud native software stacks, such as Kubernetes and Object storage, and how to apply them in a self-hosted, regulated industry environment.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate complex technical and regulatory topics to diverse audiences.
Qualifications
Degree/Certification, e.g., Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field.
Experience with specific certifications like FedRAMP, SOC 2, or industry-specific regulatory frameworks is a plus.
Experience with cloud infrastructure services and cloud native infrastructure abstractions such as Kubernetes and Object Storage is a plus.
