We are seeking a highly accomplished and strategic Principal Product Engineer to join our dynamic team.

Responsibilities

  • Strategic Yield Leadership: Architect and lead complex yield improvement programs, collaborating strategically with Fab Process Integration and Module teams to achieve significant and sustainable gains.
  • Advanced Failure Analysis: Employ advanced statistical data analysis, electrical characterization, and physical failure analysis techniques to proactively identify and mitigate complex failure modes and mechanisms, thereby enhancing product yield and stability.
  • Process Window Optimization: Leverage expert-level knowledge of semiconductor device physics, process technology, and advanced circuit/layout principles to strategically expand the process window and optimize product performance.
  • Customer Technical Partnership: Serve as a primary technical liaison, providing in-depth, high-level technical and manufacturing consultation to strategic customers, ensuring their complex requirements are met.
  • Product Ramp-Up & Success: Drive and facilitate successful, on-time product ramp-ups for customers, ensuring first-pass success through expert guidance and proactive problem resolution.

Required Qualifications

  • Master's or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Materials Science, or a closely related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in CMOS device physics and process integration, with a proven track record of significant contributions.
  • Comprehensive understanding of advanced circuit design principles and their practical applications in semiconductor manufacturing.
  • Demonstrated ability to thrive in high-pressure environments, effectively managing and prioritizing multiple complex projects simultaneously.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and an unwavering commitment to precision in all technical and analytical endeavors.
  • A highly self-motivated and results-oriented professional with a strong drive to innovate and deliver impactful solutions.

Work Location & Schedule

This position operates on-site at our Camas, Washington location during core business hours, Monday through Friday 8 am – 5 pm; however, there may be occasions when additional hours are necessary to meet project demands.

Total Rewards

  • Pay Transparency & Other Compensation: At TSMC, your base pay is just one component of your comprehensive compensation package. For new hires in this position, the starting salary typically ranges between $108,235 and $156,729 per year. The full salary range for this Job Grade extends from $108,235 - $172,895 depending on factors such as skills, qualifications, education, experience, tenure, and position level. TSMC’s total compensation package also includes market-competitive pay, profit sharing and incentive bonuses, and tuition assistance.
  • Sign-On Bonus: This position is also eligible for a Sign-On Bonus depending on various factors.
  • Relocation Bonus: This position is also eligible for a Relocation Bonus depending on various factors.
