Principal Product and Application Security Engineer / Founding Engineer

About the role

A GPU cloud computing startup, revolutionizing the computing landscape, is looking to hire a Principal Product and Application Security Engineer to join their team as a founding engineer. This startup has hit a $1B valuation, closed their Series A funding, and has been around for 4 years. They're looking to bring on their first AppSec hire to build out their security environment from the ground up.

Responsibilities

• Build out the security environment from the ground up as the first AppSec hire
• Be hands-on with development while also helping drive business initiatives
• Work with non-technical leaders to drive decision-making

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in application security, product security, and/or DevSecOps
• Experience building out an appsec program from the ground up is a huge plus, or experience as the first appsec hire
• Experience with GraphQL authorization at scale
• Experience architecting or operating a home-grown authentication service
• Strong leadership experience
• Startup experience is a big plus
• Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the US on a full-time basis now and in the future
